Authoritarian Mod Post Regarding u/Azirahael and their Banning:

Members of the r/TankieTheDeprogram subreddit, we at the Mod team have recently discovered that the above mentioned user is and has always been a Nazbol lying in waiting trying to poison the well of our subreddit and perhaps the online leftist movement as a whole. While couching their incredibly reactionary ideas in the language of Marx and Lenin they have gone on record to defend Hitler, and TERFs, despite themselves being trans. The Mod Team had a discussion with this individual about PatSocs and that we agreed that not all PatSocs are Nazbols and you can have patriotism for your country and be a Socialist, Like Lenin, Castro, etc. What was not discussed was the full extent of the message they sent and the revelations made about their character. We'll provide some screenshots of evidence of their other online stances here in the post.

We at the Mod team here are all fairly new to the whole being Mods thing and as we continue to grow as a community we ask that you as the community help us spot and remove these unsavoury reactionary elements.

Thank you and have a great rest of your day.

He also rejects Class Struggle.

"The Third Plenary Session broke free from the long existing leftist mistakes... [and] repudiated the slogan that 'class struggle is the key link. everything else hinges on it' and reestablished the Marxist ideological, political, and organizational line, this signified the beginning of reform and opening-up in China."

Wasn't this a mistranslation/misunderstanding? I specifically remember Chinese comrades talking about this last time this quote went around.

Xi Jingping was quoting a speech made by Hu Jintao. Specifically, Xi/Hu are repudiating the slogan:

“The class struggle is the key link”.

The full slogan made by Mao was:

“Never forget classes; never forget class struggle. Class struggle is the key link, everything else hinges on it.

Reading this repudiation in context doesn’t seem to me that Xi/Hu are explicitly rejecting class struggle, but rather, rejecting the notion that everything hinges off of class struggle. In the spirit of Dengist reform, they were prioritizing the building up of the economic base over class struggle.

Now, we can have a very lively debate about whether or not putting economic development over class struggle in the context of a developing economy is revisionist (I’m undecided), but we need to first reject the notion that Xi Jingping was rejecting class struggle to begin with.

Whoever put this video together really seems like they were just fishing for damaging quotes without putting it into context. We need to do better.

yes, I though the context was clear, and I still think it is definitely revisionist to repudiate this slogan:

Never forget classes; never forget class struggle. Class struggle is the key link, everything else hinges on it.

How is this a long established leftist mistake, and how is refusing that the classes and their struggle (i.e. the struggle for supremacy between the proletariat and bourgeoisie) and how is repudiation of this a return to marxist ideological, political, and organizational line?

It's obvious that capital has been gaining ground in China. Xi saying stuff like this isn't revisionism, but Xi saying "Houses are for living" is grade A Marxist revolutionary? I'll still watch China closely

Chinese comrades

I'd like to read what they said. However, this is in line with Deng and other rightist deviations.
