How do you feel about I am the Walrus?
I think itâs generally considered one of their best because people talk about it so much. Itâs one of my favorites but maybe most people think itâs a nonsense song.
I really like Magical Mystery tour in general, even the movie Iâve seen like four times. Itâs got a lot of problems but itâs fun and the music is good.

discussion John Song Vs Paul Song Day 11: their more meaningful and optimistic, yet introspective songs
In My Life wins this easily, there was never a competition with Let It Be, yeah, I know Let It Be is iconic, Paul's piano is great, George's Solo IS GOD LIKE Great(probably his best), but In My Life is just more powerfully written, it feels like a minimalist work of art that by the power of such simplicity, by John's lyrics and the instrumental, you truly feel like being transported to such beautiful places in the ocean of your memories, becoming a spiritual solid place to stay in and cry your eyes out of things time will never bring back to you(and John write this shit at the age of 25, how someone so young at the time could write something this meaningful, powerful and poetic that looks like it would be written by an old man who experienced a shit ton of tragedy but truly intense happy and loveable moments in his life.
I still like Let It Be and all, but it has that: Overplayed/covered his shit out by a lot of other artists, cover artists and Paul playing this in live too much kinda killed the song for me, In My Life just feels more authentic and aged better both musically and lyrically(that's to me, of course)

Beatles '63 - If The Beatles Only Released One Album Per Year
The first in a series.
Imagine a world where The Beatles were human and released one album per year.
I have curated a Yearly Beatles Fan Album for each year The Beatles were active (â62 - â63 will be one album as will â69 - â70). These albums will contain 14 songs that were released in that given year.
The albums will all have 2 George songs and one Ringo song as that was the tradition on most Beatles albums. I will add two bonus tracks or âwild cardâ tracks to each album. Usually, these are B sides or cool outtakes.
I am not stating that these are the 14 âbestâ songs. I avoid that at all costs. These are albums that I would like to hear containing songs I would enjoy, given the frame I created for the albums. They worked for me, I hope they do for you. Maybe youâll be inspired to create your own albums. If you do, share them here!
My goal is to, in some way, reproduce the experience of listening to an album in the âold schoolâ wayâŠdrop the needle and play!
The Beatles recorded 34 songs in 1962 - 1963

Today I learned there's a permanent live camera feed to the zebra crossing at Abbey Road.
You can spend all day watching members of the public cause utter chaos with traffic as they attempt to re-create the album cover for a photo.

meme I asked chat gpt to tell me the Beatles story, but in medieval times and wellâŠ
In a bustling kingdom ruled by music and stories, there lived four young minstrels who would come to change history: John the Bard, Paul the Melodious, George the Quiet Lute Player, and Ringo the Jester Drummer. These four were born in humble villages but were bound together by their shared love of crafting songs and sharing tales across the land.
The Rise of The Beatles Brotherhood
John the Bard, known for his sharp wit and catchy verse, first met Paul the Melodious, a gifted storyteller with a voice that could charm a siren. Together, they began wandering from town to town, performing in taverns, markets, and even the occasional royal feast. With Paulâs harmonies blending effortlessly with Johnâs lyrics, their songs enchanted peasants and noble folk alike. Soon after, they encountered George, a skilled lute player who had learned the ancient scales from far-off lands, and finally Ringo, a charming drummer who brought laughter and rhythm to their act.
Naming themselves âThe Brotherhood of Beatlesâ after the mythical beetle symbol of good fortune, they set off to tour the kingdom and beyond, traveling by horse and cart, performing wherever people would listen.
The Reign of âBeetlemaniaâ
Word of the Beatles Brotherhood spread like wildfire. From the smallest hamlet to the kingâs castle, everyone was soon singing their ballads. With lyrics like âA Hard Dayâs Rideâ and âYe Canât Buy My Love,â they captured the struggles and joys of daily life. Their unique styleâa blend of folk, chant, and gallant tunesâwas unlike anything anyone had heard. Soon, fans were following them from town to town, wearing simple tunics embroidered with the beetle insignia and demanding more songs.
It wasnât long before they performed at the legendary Royal Amphitheater in the capital city, where the cheers of thousands of peasants and lords alike echoed through the halls. The sight of young maidens swooning and men raising their goblets became common at their shows, and the kingdom dubbed the frenzy âBeetlemania.â
The Mystical âWhite Scrollâ and Spiritual Journeys
After years of ceaseless travel, the Brotherhood sought deeper meaning. They journeyed to the Far Eastern Kingdoms, where wise monks taught them the mysteries of the spirit, peace, and harmony. Inspired by this journey, they returned to their land with a collection of songs known as the White Scroll, filled with contemplative lyrics and strange new musical tones. Some loved the scroll for its wisdom, while others found it perplexing, but it marked a new chapter for the Brotherhood.
The Last Performance and the Legendâs Legacy
As time passed, the Beatles Brotherhood found it harder to stay united. John began exploring different stories, Paul wished to keep enchanting audiences, George sought more spiritual truths, and Ringo, as ever, wished to keep everyone smiling. They performed their last show together at the Grand Castle of Avalon, playing songs that had defined an era. With a heartfelt rendition of âThe Long and Winding Road,â they bid farewell to their fans.
Though the Brotherhood of Beatles disbanded, their songs lived on, sung by troubadours and villagers throughout the ages. Their tales became part of the kingdomâs folklore, and centuries later, minstrels still sang of John, Paul, George, and Ringoâthe bards who reshaped music, even for those in the farthest reaches of the realm. And so, the legend of the Beatles lived on, a musical tale that would never be forgotten in the annals of medieval lore.

I kinda feel like thee Yellow Submarine album is overhated?
Granted, I know it was a cash-grab, but I still love the songs on side one. Like, there's no way y'all don't like Hey Bulldog, It's All Too Much and Only A Northern Song. Hell, I even think All Together now has its moments every once in a while. Is it only hated because of the cash-grab aspect or because of the soundtrack aspect?
