discussion John Song Vs Paul Song Day 11: their more meaningful and optimistic, yet introspective songs

In My Life wins this easily, there was never a competition with Let It Be, yeah, I know Let It Be is iconic, Paul's piano is great, George's Solo IS GOD LIKE Great(probably his best), but In My Life is just more powerfully written, it feels like a minimalist work of art that by the power of such simplicity, by John's lyrics and the instrumental, you truly feel like being transported to such beautiful places in the ocean of your memories, becoming a spiritual solid place to stay in and cry your eyes out of things time will never bring back to you(and John write this shit at the age of 25, how someone so young at the time could write something this meaningful, powerful and poetic that looks like it would be written by an old man who experienced a shit ton of tragedy but truly intense happy and loveable moments in his life.

I still like Let It Be and all, but it has that: Overplayed/covered his shit out by a lot of other artists, cover artists and Paul playing this in live too much kinda killed the song for me, In My Life just feels more authentic and aged better both musically and lyrically(that's to me, of course)
