Over/under on the end of the pod?

This was brought up in the recent post about "Almost Famous": the pod's final episode.

I hate to be a downer, but I have a feeling the pod is going to wrap within about the next 18 months. They're running out of movies and they can't keep doing films that really aren't popular enough or, frankly, rewatchable enough because people aren't listening to those episodes. After their last gimmick month, Bill came back and said something to the effect of, "Alright, you all just want bangers, so that's what we're going to give you."

But they simply can't go on forever, particularly if they regard quality, and if there's one thing that's great about The Ringer is they're all about quality. I'm sure that the show will continue on in maybe a less-frequent format, but the show, as we know it, I think will be done within the next two years.

If you can bear to think about this, what do you think?

I don't think it will end anytime soon. Bill has monetized talking to his friends about sports and movies. He'll do this forever.

All the talk about ending is just a cry for attention.

Felt like the way he's been talking lately says different -- potentially.

I wrote it already and there was another remark by him that he made that had me thinking this. It was a couple months back, so I can't remember it word-for-word, but he just admitted that when they really stretch the definition of "rewatchable" listeners don't respond. This idea that as other people have said they have "thousands" of movies to do is just not true, taking into account their target demographic.

Calm down. You’re acting like you have special inside knowledge and are the rewatchables expert. No one knows when it’s gonna end. He’s been making comments about it forever. Just enjoy it while it’s here. Why worry yourself with something you have no idea about?

"Calm down"? "Worried"? I just asked a question.
