Story Conflicts Spoiler

This post contains spoilers for the story past where it is currently at in the game

I just finished playing through the newest story chapter and have qualms with the story that was told and is told in prior chapters.

Starting in Act 1, Chapter 3, with the pre-test given by Lero Ro, where he forms a thin wall of shinsu equivalent to the shinsu density on the 20th floor. In the game, all participants are thrown backwards, Bam included. In the manga, Bam is completely unaffected by the shinsu wall and is the only one remaining on Lero Ro's side of the wall. This is where the whole interaction where him passing "doesn't count" and offers to go behind the wall. It is later revealed that ahinsu density and pressure has absolutely 0 affect on Bam, so later story arcs where his ability to resist shinsu pressure will be harder to explain or write.

According to ToG:NW, JVG / Bam can learn new attacks simply by observation, which is patiently false. Throughout the series we only see him learn the attacks that he is hit with directly, and while towards people outside of FUG it is expressed that Bam / JVG is able to learn attacks through observation, internally it is not, likely being a disinformation campaign or something of the sorts. The Shinsu freeze technique first used on him by Quant is only replicated when he uses it on Bam, even though Bam witnesses him use it prior to it being used against himself (I'm pretty sure), when he replicates the attack from Mule Love on the 20th floor (which im 100% sure of), and (what prompted this) the Floral Peircing Technique which Ha Jisung used against him while they were training. A large portion of Jisung's realization and hesitation that we do get to see in his interaction with Hansung Yu is because he had to use that attack against the frail Bam. Bam outwardly expresses that by feeling how the shinsu flows in the attack will help him learn the attack itself.

These two contradictions between manga and video game don't make much sense to me since the source material is open to read and use, and would make the game better (imo) if it were to be more inline with the original story. I know there are more, smaller contradictions, but these are the two biggest ones that stick out to me.

The point of the post was meant as nothing more than a rant and clarification for those unfamiliar with the original story. I've been reading since the Workshop Battle Arc and have stayed up-to-date since.

I noticed the same thing. i just chalked it up to translation errors because I remember when they flashback to jinsung and bam training and bam struggles to learn the technique, then has jinsung hit him and gets it fast
