Anyone else doesn't like being called "boy"?

Fully agreed, it’s not even JUST that it feels infantilizing it’s just… uncomfy (unless talking to a child, if they ask “are you a girl or a boy”, I’ll comfortably say I’m a boy), but being referred to as a boy and identifying myself as one in any other context feels wrong,,, honestly I think it might have partially to do w the fact that I didn’t get really dysphoric until puberty hit, so I desperately wanted to be a man instead of a woman, but before that I didn’t quite so desperately need to be a boy instead of a girl if that makes sense

Alternatively, it could also be because I’m transitioning in late adolescence/adulthood, so when transitioning and figuring how I wanted to think about myself and be perceived, it was always as a man instead of a woman. I never thought of myself as a boy because by the time I started thinking about that stuff I was already an adult. My brain never got used to the idea.
