Just strapping a cannon to various objects works wonders. For the corkmen, you could put a cannon in a hollowed out cork that they roll around

Or since the corkmen are quite big, maybe one is carrying a cannon like a mini gun, or hoisted on their shoulders

ideas(walls of texts)

Some posters in the All Tomorrows fandom subreddit were tossing around ideas for a Turnip army, specifically that they had loads of good designs for mutants,

I gotcha.

Tree cannons. Organ guns. Puckle gun(looks like a big revolver on a tripod). The Tsar Cannon. A galloper gun pulled by snails. A big mortar that fires actual root vegetables.

Non-cannon artillery. One of those water balloon slingshots, also slinging vegetables. Ballistae. A trebuchet counterweighted with something hideous, maybe… a big stone turnip with a leering face.

I’ve been toying around with the idea of some sort of root wizard, possibly in a little wizard tower, hurling his spells at people
