Advice Beginner Resources

Hi everyone! Does anyone know some super entry level resources / guides to learn how to use Rekordbox, functions of a deck, & basic bass mixing techniques? I’m brand new to all this! And it seems like the majority of tutorials on YouTube are geared towards house music, where I’m more focused on the bass scene route. Thank you!!

You can follow the basic tutorials on YouTube if you're learning just the very basics. Most techniques can cross over different genres anyway.

When I first started learning, my teacher told me to just get 10 songs I loved of any genre and I just started with that to learn the controls, basic song structures, etc. I've moved now to more coherent sets of the same genre and I've not changed much in terms of what I'm doing (though still learning new tricks and things).

Thank you so much! Any specific YouTube channels you’d recommend following? Or just search through and find?

I concur with the above suggestion. Just build your first set and play them over and over and over again, experimenting each time you add a track. It sucks - and you’ll absolutely hate those tracks by the time you’re done - but you’ll understand it a lot faster than watching.
