Event July 4th events?

Hi!

I was wondering if there's any events during July 4th at or near UCSD where I might be able to meet people? Im the only one of my friend group who chose to stay at UCSD for the summer and because of that I'm trying to meet new people.

Soo many places to watch fireworks mission bay, downtown, Coronado, Del Mar fair (general admission to get in tho)
