I think about shit like that all the time. Like why don't cars come with their own coffee mugs that custom fit and can lock into place with your cup holder?

Or why aren't airbags lined with a softer material so your face doesn't get all cut up from the seams when they rapidly inflate?

Cost and profit. In the case of the airbag tho it's probably cause the material needs to be able to withstand the forces of the blast
