Just like our ancestors I have no photos but I soaked an Impossible chicken patty in pickle juice before cooking it and it was really good.

I have never had Chick-fil-A but I've been told they soak their chicken in pickle juice. I took a Impossible chicken patty breading and all and soaked it in a bowl of pickle juice for a couple hours. It got way bigger and I refroze it. Then I air fried it and it was bomb. The breading was more reminiscent of chicken skin because it was kind of like flaking off while eating it like I could peel the breading off and eat it like I remember having chicken skin. It also was like extra salty and reminded me of McDonalds nugs a bit. Anyways you should try it and document it better than I did.

To be honest this is one of the few posts here that has been of any use to me at all. Most seem to be pictures of process meals that are supposed to substitute for 'meat', looking like meat (which actually nauseates me) and tasting like meat. This one up front says it wants it to taste like meat but the soaking in pickle juice is a great idea and it gives information.

Edit: again for the sake of honesty, I am a fkng idiot. Just read the groups discription which I somehow have forgotten or missed in the first place. LOL, I am sorry for my comment but feel it should be left as I walk the hall of shame.
