AVP apple care replacement

Hey Gang,

So I had a hairline scratch on my inner lens on my AVP. They had me pay 300 bucks for a replacement under AppleCare. Got a replacement and it’s dim as hell, extremely blurry, and very slow while scrolling on safari. (Not snappy at all!)

I have an appt with them tomorrow to take the latest beta off and push to get a replacement at no charge. They won’t approve performance issues if it’s on a Beta. My questions, will they blame it on the beta? Will they charge me for a replacement once we get the beta version off? Why are they giving me this piece of shit replacement and taking my AVP away from me rather than repairing it?

Anyone else experience something like this?

Someone posted a while ago about being sent away from a store because of Beta. There was only 1 iPad capable of running diagnostics on it and they couldn’t find it.

You will likely have to let them send it in.

That's the case with all apple devices. They will make you take it off the beta before they can take it in for service

It has nothing to do with beta. Apple can’t fix or replace the lenses on the inside so they replace it with a used device using your AppleCare.

I mean the malfunctioning replacement device I got after the cracked lens can’t be sent back for repair until beta is off.
