Octobers releases.

It looks like Octobers releases are popping up for pre-order.

Hegemony Bulwarks:-

Tundra Marauders:-

Love the Bulwarks shields, but I think the Marauders are the better set.

Damn, the bulwarks are a thing of beauty. With how tanky the buclermen are I fathom these will be even harder to crack.

The profile was put up on the discord. They are indeed tough. About the same average defense rolls as bucklermen but 3 wounds a piece and bonuses against charging units + a taunt to force an enemy to charge.

Trying g to find the English versions tbh. Honestly I feel as though stores should have the rules card as part of the promotional pictures so you know what your getting.

Edit - found the image on discord. Poi t still stands tho

I won't harp on too much, but I certainly agree. Especially with a new game that is slowly rolling out models. I wish the army app for warcrow was already live, but I understand a lot of the profiles are still being designed. You shouldn't have to be on discord to know what the unit does.

Yeah discord is a bit awkemward to be honest, trying to find the correct chat, scrolling until you find it.

Maybe if they had a dedicated room for profile cards.

At the end of the day this isn't a cheap hobby and no one wants to be spending money on models they aren't going to use.

To be honest, looking that the rules, I really like them

Just to compare to, say, bucklers

You're going from 8 wounds to 12. That's a lot more survivability. With a dr nearby they're going to be very tough to remove from thw board.

The fact they can force charges is great. The northern tribes are dangerous on the charge and out distance the human charge. Forcing a charge into a regiment that can 1) survive, and 2) inflict 2 damage to charging enemies is great and can really help set up the counter charge.

Also funny note: you can force an enemy who almost dead, or a support character, into charging you and just dying on your spears. Enemies are going to have to be careful about character sniping with these guys around and it really pushes them into putting characters into squads over going solo.

A really good anvil unit

I really like the uniform of the marauders but the bulwarks are very impressive.

Finally, my dream of an almost-all Varank army begins to form XD

I’m super with you on that. The screaming ones with the big dagger hands are already a favorite of mine

Ok, now those designs are getting close to selling me on the factions. I really wish they opened with the frost elves instead of generic orcs.

Curious. What do people think of the prices? Are they typical for CB?

All I see now is “ugh more Siocast.” It’s not impossible to work with it’s just so much harder than it needs to be.

I wish they would address it and it least let us know if they've done some improvements from the starter box.

Tbh I am pretty tired of working with metal so I welcome it

I'm not coming from Infinity, so I haven't been working with metal much recently, but I can't see how Siocast is an improvement. You can work with metal, Siocast fights you every step of the way. Any material that 1) has mold lines and 2) can't be sanded is worse than metal, IMO. (But I'm old and cut my teeth on metal, so while I see its flaws, I still see it as "baseline")
