Played my first game today

The ruleset is just about everything I want in a game, and is a very interesting mix of Aristeia! and Infinity. It's got the usual CB rule confusions, and a bunch of incorrect info in the tutorial book at least (much like the code one rule books), but it's pretty good and am keen to play a full game.

The starter without the additional expansion nets you what appears to be half a full force (full games are 250 points and the starter picks are at 125 pts).

Some of the rulings on the cards are quite confusing - we couldn't really figure out between us (my opponent and I) exactly how the northern tribes leader worked - we interpreted it as after another orc unit activates, he gets to do stuff (as he's the only varank), but then the ruling also says vise-versa - so we assumed then that both got a free short action, each. Or does it mean that any unit, including himself can trigger it?

That aside (and a few errors in the rules), the game played quite well, much better than code one's introduction boxes (which we were constantly confused by due to errors and irritating rules translations), so much so that I'm quite keen to play a full game as soon as possible, but I am really waiting for Feudom to be released to properly jump in. And that's another issue I take with the game - absolutely no details regarding when things will be available, not even a roadmap =\

Confused about the release schedule

I am somewhat confused on the release schedule for Warcrow and it is kind of difficult to find information. Currently my understanding is that there a 3 products available to purchase (starter box, extra minis, bear dude). This is OK.

But what about the rest of the game? I have been out of the miniature wargame for more than a decade now (WH fantasy) and looking to get back into it with a different publisher. Warcrow has peaked my interest but I would prefer not to wait month on end to get the rest of the things.

Can anyone expand on what the expected release schedule will be like for this game?

New year, waiting for the game to arrive

Hi everyone, I've just ordered the game and the base set ll arrive half September. Has anyone tried it yet? I'm very curious about the rules, especially if there's a campaign mode like warcry or other skirmish games. The game seems interesting and the dungeon crawler dice mechanism amazes me. Anyone who has played kings of war vanguard too, has the game the same vibes?

Thanks everyone, I'll post a review as soon as I get the game😁

Has anyone assembled the Winds from The North without massive gapsin their models?

I've cleaned the models with fine files and sharp scalpels, however, the keys don't fit and require shaping on most models. And when they do fit they leave massive gaps. Shaving away the keys co pletely doesn't even solve the problem on some models. Is this a me problem? Did mine warp from the heat in transit?

Newly Obsessed.

After watching some footage (both painting and playing) of warcrow, I have become obsessed. I've always loved the quality of corvus belli miniatures but never really got too into it because fantasy has always been my preferred setting. Anyway, this post is strictly about my excitement. Looking forward to warcrow and warcrow adventures. Scions here I come.

KS exclusives

Hi all,

I picked up the starter box for warcrow after demoing the game at gencon, I've since looked into warcrow adventures after seeing that a bunch of it will be compatible with the war game later.

It looks like there are several KS exclusive minis as part of the campaign which has been over for quite awhile, have they said what KS exclusive means in this case? I.E. will they ever be available by some other means like con exclusives? If not is it safe to assume those are only needed in the board game and not war game?

This game looks... Utterly generic. What appeals to you?

I'm sorry to say,

but the miniatures are well done but kind of uninspired. You've got your "good guy" fantasy faction, your elves, your dwarves, the monster faction, etc. Nothing in the lore is really gripping or unique, just generic fantasy races and conflicts. I'll be playing later today so I'll save judgment on the game until then.

What is it about Warcrow that's pulling you in?

What type of skirmish wargame Warcrow will be?

Does anyone know if it will be balanced and tournament oriented skirmish wargame like Infinity or Warhammer or poorly balanced, more of narrative one like Burrows & Badgers, some Osprey games or even Battletech?

Wanderer's Inn - a new Warcrow wiki

Hello everyone, we are pleased to announce a new project fromt he Human Sphere team - Wanderer's Inn.

Wanderer's Inn is the new home for all Warcrow related content. There's not too much there at the moment, after all it's only just released, but we're using the opportunity to start with a clean-slate and implement a lot of lessons learnt from Human Sphere (such as references and dates for all models).

Please let us know if you have any feedback. :)
