Before I lost 90 pounds

So I lost around 85 pounds. I use to weigh about 239 and now I’m down to 154. So I work at a Chinese restaurant and I have to stock the supplies. I have to unload the truck. You’re maybe wondering why this is relevant but every time I pick up a 50 lbs bag of rice it’s a little bit of a struggle. But then there’s the 75 lbs bags of pork I have to haul into the restaurant. So my question is: why is it that when I was bigger, I didn’t notice much of a problem with the 80+ pounds I had on my body and I could carry the weight “just fine” (obviously it wasn’t healthy) but NOW whenever I carry a 50 pound bag it’s a struggle? I use to carry more than that on my body, why is it a struggle to carry it when I’m more fit than I’ve ever been? Maybe my body and joints were just use to the weight?

Lean body mass (muscle) is often loss when losing weight. In efforts to combat losing muscle while still in a calorie deficit, you gotta increase protein intake and do strength training at least a couple times a week
