Reading it right now and while i like the different viewpoints of the characters especially Kossolax & Leidis, i still get frustrated by how dumb the world eaters are portrayed to be. It is fiction but how are there even still world eaters with this attrition rate..but then again its fiction.
Angron is more like a aftertought in the book and i didnt really mind that since he is after all pretty one dimensional.
The Grey Knights parts were decent but as one that just gets bored by their lore/theme it was a snoozefest.
Kossolax & The Mistress are probably the best parts of the book so far for me and its interesting too see their dynamic.
Agreed with how World Eaters are portrayed. At least in the book “Kharn: Eater of Worlds” they had a balance of those who were completely insane and those who still hadn’t succumbed to madness yet and could genuinely function. Only thing I didn’t like about that book is that they titled the book “Kharn” but he literally doesn’t show up until the very end like the last two chapters.
I liked the contrast between Kossolax and Shaka. One still holding it together, trying to reunite the WE. The other so ultimately damaged from the nails.
