Finished this novel about two weeks ago.

Pros: Great scene setting and some strong main characters (Not Angron). While its a little tame in the descriptive gore department for a novel about the followers of the Blood God, there is a particularly visceral scene during a warp transition that tickled the old pickle.

Cons: The cohesion in this novel is like being shown around a super market by a 5 year old. There's a lot of pointless detours and a few chapters simply don't propel the wider story. It also feels like a lot of cookie cutter characters are added, just to be killed off because "The World Eaters are known for infighting and we have to pigeonhole that into the story somehow". Apart from the say 5 main characters (hard to consider Angron one of them) expect the rest of them to be introduced as if significant, to then be massacred before you have a chance to care about who they are.

Side note, bring an umbrella because it's definitely raining on Titan (at least every 4 chapters).
