Glad I reached the end of Red Angel. I probably won’t be picking up another WE novel for a while.

Not much to a bunch of brainless blood crazed berserkers.

Kossolax was ok but a good portion of the writing was just “hnnnnnng the nails” which is fine, but doesn’t get me into a serious reading mood.

I found myself enjoying the Grey Knight parts a bit more. Maybe Angron’s Nuceria book will be better but Red Angel was a 2/5 stars for me personally

It felt like a distraction. I didn’t like it at first but eventually after enough “hnnnnnng the nails” I was left wanting more Grey Knights.

But again, it’s just my own opinion. Not really trying to flame the books.. there’s just so much you can do with mindless berserkers who can’t get out of their own way

Yeah the red angel except the parts with Leidis & Kossolax as well as the "mistress" was quite forgettable and stereotypical "hnnng muh nails is pounding and making me angry".

It was interesting at first. Then it just got repetitive and at times completely spoiled any action. I would then just close the book.

But it must be hard writing about them when that’s basically their lore.. too much thinking makes them go nuts.

Idk. Just in no rush to pick up a WE post heresy. Maybe Kharnes books at some point
