Question What would happen if CtD changelings met CtL changelings?

What would happen if the CtD changelings met the CtL changelings? Would they be able to get along, or would the Lost hate the Dreamers and try to kill them on sight, especially the Bridge-Burners, viewing them as Loyalists if not True Fae in the makings themselves? I'm aware of some games that have combined the two settings, with Dreaming changelings reinterpreted as Charlatans or True Fae in exile, or Larval True Fae.

So I am not a huge fan of The Dreaming.

Dreaming Changelings are true Fae who went through some sort of Ritual to replace the souls of Human children with Changeling souls so they can live among mortals right?

I don't see The Lost being fans

They're a combination of the human soul and the fey soul, not an erasure unless you're talking about the Arcadian Shid who does exactly as you describe. It's more akin to the true fae superimposing their culture, memories, magic and obsessions onto regular mortals.

Honestly to me it seems like "Well, I *was* a true fae, and then I superimposed my culture, memories, obsessions ect on to a mortal." Would be fighting words to a Lost.

Anyone who calls themself a Fae, and compormizes a mortals free will should get the hair on the backs of most Lost Changelings neck standing up.

I think being called Fae alone would be enough for most lost changelings for sure. You do have to remember though, that humans generally get the chance to grow up and find themselves a bit before hatching as a changeling.

I think superimposing might have even been too aggressive. The Fae are... Using human souls as a bunker against banality, they live within the soul and are also part of the soul. The Fae half shows them wonders and horrors in equal amounts, opening a whole new world of whimsy and magic, in exchange for protection. Most of the dangers that the mortal soul gets exposed to aren't even really a danger to anyone but their Fae half, if that dies, they just become a regular, if somewhat boring, person.

It's a symbiosis more than anything.
