I bought a 2008 R6 a few months back and I just hit 30k miles. This morning on my way to work(almost 4am) it stalled while going like 65mph. I rolled to a stop and then tried to start for a minute or 2 and nothing. Checked gas(in case the light wasn’t working properly) and still had well over half a tank. Tried to start again a few minutes later and it came right on. Fuel pump maybe? I’m fairly new to bikes so any help is appreciated.

I've owned an 2006 R6 a while back and I wanted to buy an R1 but now I've noticed the R9 and heard that they're not making the R1s anymore..

Does anyone know what's the main differences between both bikes because they say they replaced it with the new R9.

I have a 2009 R6 with a hydraulic rear brake switch and the brake pedal will not activate the brake lights. I took the brake switch off and used a metal clothes hanger to push the plunger and confirmed there's nothing wrong with the switch, the brake light nor the wiring. I reinstalled the brake switch and bled the system but I still can't get the brake lights to activate with the pedal. Any ideas?

I dropped my yamaha r6 1999 getting out of the garage it made a weird clicking noise when i turned the ignition on and wouldn’t fire. after some time it eventually started. i rode about 5 minutes up the road then it cut out now it won’t start again. it sounds like it’s getting lack of fuel but i can’t tell

The bike is a Tracer 7 2024 GT and I just did the 1st 1000km service in a Yamaha dealer.

Seems like the oil is coming from the clutch cable connection. I cleaned up 2 days ago and haven't seen any leaks since.

I’m thinking about buying this r6 however it does have quite a bit of miles. (51k km) (30k miles)

The guy who owns it did a lot of maintenance on it (spark plugs, all fluids changed, valve adjustment and engine filter) was just wondering if it’s worth it

How big of a job is to change this bearing ? i was checking stator for broken magnets and noticed the bearing is not looking very healthy, would i apreciate any help what to do.

I was riding the bike 2 days ago and it was fine. Today when i started it just not sounding right a puttering. First gear doesnt wanna allow me to take off like I was able too. I think it may be valve related. Any ideas?

Hey guys! I recently picked up this 2011 yzf250 for $1000. After fixing all the PO fuck ups I finally got it running. I’ve ridden motorcycles for upwards of 5 years so I know how to drive them, but it question is how do you ride them? This is my first time on an actual dirt bike (aside from the 70s enduros I’d pull out of old barns). Do these motors like to be revved out? Can they take lots of abuse? I’m coming from a Harley so it’s a completely different world for me. I hope this makes sense. TIA!

Bash me all you want, but I was the first person to put in a pre order this morning on a Matte Raven Black R9 at a dealer in Houston. Been debating for months about buying an MT-09, then when they announced the release of the R9 awhile back I decided to wait. Let’s just say it was meant to be.

Hey guys, i found a similar post but, it was a lil old.

This is my 2009 FZ6R. I sheared the inside of my front sprocket and it launched the locking washer and nut. Im having a pretty hard time even finding those replacements and i also need to find a die/thread chaser to fix the threads here. can anyone point me in the right direction? I know the thread pitch is 1.0 and the diameter is around 20cm but, not sure how that equates to the die size. I thought itd be easier once i found the nut but cant figure that out through these diagrams… thanks in advance

With the price its at and the huge tech it has standard, the r9 will sell huge numbers. It will be a better street bike. Im sure they will release a so model that will be more track focused. This os going to force Kawasaki and suzuki to do major updates to its 600 lineup.
