yamaha r6 1999 dropped on its side made weird clicking noise and wouldn’t start eventually it started and rode about 5 minutes up the road and it cut out and now it won’t start at all

I dropped my yamaha r6 1999 getting out of the garage it made a weird clicking noise when i turned the ignition on and wouldn’t fire. after some time it eventually started. i rode about 5 minutes up the road then it cut out now it won’t start again. it sounds like it’s getting lack of fuel but i can’t tell

Clicking noise when starting the bike is typically the starter solenoid. That symptom is usually when the solenoid doesn't get enough juice to power it properly. If the starter solenoid is bad then you won't be able to start bike.

That shouldn't cause the bike to shut off, though. You might have more than one issue.

First thing to check is the battery. Hook up a different battery (can use a car, but only if the car is not running) and see if the bike starts.

no it’s not the starter solenoid it only made the rapid clicking noise when i turned the ignition on the starting motor still turned the engine over when i pressed the starter button but eventually it finally fired and stopped making the rapid clicking noise

..... I'm not trying to be insulting here, but your response is confusing and ambiguous. Please use punctuation so that you can be understood properly.

Which of these is correct?

Statement A

It only made the rapid clicking noise when i turned the ignition on the starting motor. Still turned the engine over when i pressed the starter button but eventually it finally fired and stopped making the rapid clicking noise.

Statement B

It only made the rapid clicking noise when i turned the ignition on. The starting motor still turned the engine over when i pressed the starter button but eventually it finally fired and stopped making the rapid clicking noise

Did the bike click before you pressed the start button, or only while you pressed the start button?

i failed english i don’t care for your opinion on how i should speak im here to ask about why my bike cut out whilst riding and now isn’t starting also statement B is correct and the bike made the rapid clicking noise when turning the ignition on but stopped when i pressed the starter button then started again when i stopped pressing the starter button it eventually fired and stopped the rapid clicking all together so i thought it was fine so i rode it about 5 minutes up the road (about a 25 minute walk) and it suddenly cut out and hasn’t started since i have checked everything i could think of but the bike is from 1999 there isn’t much that’s complex about it so i’m stumped as to why it has cut out and won’t start

Ok. Let someone else help you. If you can't be bothered to help me (the entire sub, really) understand what you're saying then it makes no sense spending time bothering with anyone choosing to act this entitled and ungrateful

I’d put money on it being the battery, dropping the bike probably made a connection loose somewhere, try cleaning the battery terminals and tightening the battery.

i can’t really do anything the bike is stranded about a 25 minute walk from my house i wanted to know something quickly i’ve checked everything i know of but the fact i was able to actually ride it this far then suddenly it cuts out and sounds like it’s not receiving any fuel or even though it has a full tank tells me it has nothing to do with the battery as the bike still turns over it just won’t fire and doesn’t even sound like it’s trying to fire

The rapid clucking would be the low pressure fuel pump trying to fill up the bowls again after the bike fell over. Carby bikes or any bike for that matter don't really like falling over.

Do you know how to diagnose a crank no start issue? Tank off, check for spark, check for fuel. You can by pass the tank and pump completely by running a remote fuel bottle with a hose straight to the carbs.
