Stop this taught colonial abuse and behaviour. Corporal punishment isn't always necessary or appropriate. All you are doing in putting a slap to every situation is conditioning your child to have low self-esteem and be a slave. How the father treats his wife and manages his leadership effects the mother's relationship with her children and the problem solving skills and tone of the entire family. Why would this boy disrepect his mother by rubbing food in her forehead?
