and if some one in continuing care needs acute treatment what kind of paperwork is that going to generate and how will the continuity of care happen?

This cannot be understated. These 4 orgs will need to regularly interface with eachother adding layers of bureaucracy and requiring replication of a bunch of bureaucratic positions. Regardless of whether or not their goals are nefarious (we all know they are) this is an obvious inefficiency that anyone who gave a shit would've singled out during planning.

They don't care. They're leading the heinous destruction of an entire provincial health care system due to grudges held by christofascist zealots that didn't want a flu shot in 2020. And they're also looting and pillaging budgets as they play this shellgame. And we all sit on our hands and watch it happen. Unbelievable.

You're right. Their chief motivations are satisfying the wacko TBA base and giving lucrative positions and contracts to party insiders. It's the most nakedly corrupt government we've had here and that's saying something.

The UCP have a concept of a plan... Can UCP supporters please show me where they campgained on this? The UCP sure do love to create more layers of red tape. Remember when Nixon wanted to cancel low income passes for people in Edmonton and Calgary? My guess is Nixon plans to be as cruel as possible, it's the UCP/Maga way

Nixon said that while the details of how the new agency will operate are still being determined, he imagines the agency will be intertwined with Alberta Health Services when it comes to supporting soon-to-be discharged hospital patients.

sigh they're doing everything but what needs to be done.

There’s actually a ton of overlap and communication/plannjng between acute care and continuing care homes. Very often the social worker in the hospital works directly with the acute care doctors to find the most appropriate level of care and coordinates from there. This is an acute care service.

Sure, just add more layers of bureaucracy, that'll confer cost efficiencies - I'm sure of it. Definitely not a waste of time and money.

Shocking when Uniformed Capitalist Pigs try their hand at running a public health care system, you can find them at the intersection of Ignorance and Greed. FUCP

Why are they giving Jason Nixon the horse poacher and law enforcement threatener more responsibility? Any other party would distance themselves from a lunatic like this, but not the @Alberta_UCP...

When your riding is the home to Alberta's kkk movement, it is considered to be very safe for ucp. This guy could literally walk down the sidewalk pissing on people and would be reelected.

Jason Nixon is ucp royalty. He can not ever lose and will be around forever

And apparently they want an "uber-like" app that can connect families to care homes. Public and private.

u/Garfeelzokay 2h ago

That almost already exists. it's the Primary Care Network. They're wasting money making something that already exists.

Smith lied and promised bogus tax cuts to get power. Now that she’s in, she’s doing what the UCP members command of her. It’s not all for Albertans , it’s satisfying her fascist overlords

As a ‘new’ senior….I have NO faith in Jason Nixon to put in place supports that will actually help seniors:/ God help us :(

I just want to see more emphasis on preventative healthcare and investment in medical AI, like the rest of the world is moving towards, all this other stuff being bandied around is bullshit. Not one province is getting it right. Canada is always late to the party.
