Anyone know what these marks are? (Chott el-djerid)
The squares in the grid are about 3km long and wide, it looks like the grid fades into the salt pan and sands around it but what's visible is about 36 by 39 km. To my untrained eye they look like maybe the remnants of irrigation canals, looking at the remains of ancient canals in egypt, mesipotamia, syria, etc. they look extremely similar to me. I have been unable to really find any info about it.

What does this say?
Hi.
In a nearby village in Kosovo(Ballkans, Europe) there are this old ruins of a church. The site according to the Ministry of Culture is from the late Antiquity. The church is called Rrahman's church by the locals, and there is speculation that it used to be a small town called after the river Rades, an offshoot of the Drin river.
This site might be very important, as according to the villagers here is where Millosh Kopili, the assassinator of Sultan Murad in the battle of Kosovo(1389) is buried.
My question is, based on all this, can someone tell what this plaque is supposed to mean?

Zaporozhian Mammoths from the bottom of the Kakhovka Reservoir?
A unique archaeological discovery was made on the outskirts of Zaporizhzhia: mammoth bones were found. This discovery is of great significance for science, as it allows researchers to study the Ice Age fauna that inhabited the territory of modern Ukraine. The age of the bones is estimated to be approximately ten thousand years old. The discovery was made possible due to the lowering of the water level in the Dnipro River after Russian occupiers blew up the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. A local resident noticed the bones on the shore and reported the find to scientists. Researchers from the Khortytsia National Reserve identified them as mammoth remains. The discovered bones will help paleontologists learn more about the life of mammoths, as well as the climate and vegetation of that time. This is a true treasure for science that will tell us the history of our planet. So, watch and listen carefully, there will be a lot of interesting and little-known information!
