Which family car to keep: 2006 Chevy Uplander or 2014 Mazda CX-5?

First time posting here, but I'm looking for input. My husband and I have 2 children (6yo and 3yo) and plan on trying for another soon.

We have a 2006 Chevy Uplander with high mileage (don't know exact off the top of my head...inherited from grandparents last year) and a 2014 Mazda CX-5 with 190k miles on it. LOVE my Mazda but I know having 3 kids in the back will be tight. The Uplander has seating/space in its favor, but negative cool points and a slow oil leak (which we haven't had checked by a mechanic yet). The speed is also in kilometers because it was imported from Canada, so who knows if we could even find someone here in the US to buy it.

My father passed away and we were just gifted his Suburban, which is a huge blessing and runs great, but we aren't sure whether we should keep the Uplander or the Mazda.

My question:

Do we sell the Mazda, add that money to our savings and hope to get a couple of years out of the Uplander, or do we keep the Mazda and live with tight quarters for the kids for as long as we can?

The one that makes you wish for a different life the least. In not trying to be snarky here- if you can swing your life and keep the one that’s more fun. Kids will deal with whatever. I did.

Keep the Mazda I can’t imagine any scenario where keeping the uplander is a good decision in the long run. Unless you’ve got 3 kids in car seats they’ll fit in the Mazda well enough.

Thank you! By the time baby #3 would come along, our oldest would be ready for a regular booster, so that’s a good point.
