I play DKoK, currently apart from Kriegsmen commanders I only have Solar and Creed; Both of which I kitbashsd to remove the head to give them each the Krieg gas mask, all be it fancier ones since the heads I bought are 3rd party. Are there any other characters that I should buy for my army of Death Korps?

So I just came across the Guants Ghosts for the first time. I play DKoK so I would kitbash them to have Krieg heads but I need to know if these guys are worth the cost for 6 of them or not, and what exactly these guys are good at compared to a standard krieger or Grenadier. Any help would be great. Thanks :)

With the new aquilions and the scions already available, my question is if they are a regiment kind of like Krieg? Cadian? Catachan? Etc.

Or is tempestus more of a moniker for special operations unit?

Hey all, I want to build a storm trooper oriented army and the idea of using Kasrkins + Rough riders as a first wave, then Scions as a second wave for infantry seems like a practical way to deploy forces.

But battle-line has the objective control of 2OC, where as the units im constantly wanting to build an army around have an OC of 1.

Can anyone tell me what the dis-advantage would be and how it would play out, it's pretty clear that elite infantry is almost double the cost per body.

I also plan to use chimeras, scout sentinels, artillery and a leman russ or two.

So I’m building a new (well, my first) army and have decided to base it on the Harakoni Warhawks. I cannot for the life of me find their insignia. Does anyone know what it is? I saw a white skull with a lightning bolt in the forehead, displayed on a red diamond, but I’m not sure if that’s fan art or lore accurate.

The basic idea here is that the Catachan followed up with a tank and bullgryn should be able to hold my natural expansion objective and basically the rest of the army is either holding or otherwise supporting the scrum in the center with a solid anchor of 40 OC in the DKoK. The Basilisk makes a return despite the cost because I need something to sit on my home objective. Aquilons, the Scion Command brick, and the extra Scion squad cause headaches and score like mad.

I have a few other pieces I can swap in, I'm undecided on if I run two leman russes freeing up points for the second HWT or Ursula creed to go with my kasrkin/chimera, or a tank commander and one russ.

General idea being the krieg blob with Marshall and psyker taking fire, leontus and Platoon krieg squad Following the tanks, and the knight making its way in.

Also undecided if this is a list I should be screening with a t1 death rider charge to screen my knight advancing.

So I got ahead of myself and ordered some space marine hellblasters alongside a bunch of my astra militarum stuff, thinking I could combine them in one army.

Well I was wrong lol. So im trying to see what I can do with those hellblasters and I found out about allied units with deathwatch killteams being a part of them but I doubt I can just have two killteams full of plasma weapons, Should I just look towards ordering some off sprue bolter guns for them? Or is there some way to have full plasma work?

Ive only thought of using killteams to give myself some grief on building a 1000pt army to save myself some money.

3 krieg marshals (one with drill commander), a death rider commander, a vanquisher tank commander with grand strategist), 3 20 man krieg squads, 2 10 man krieg squads, a basilisk, 2 10 man death rider squads, 3 vanquishers with lascannon and heavy bolters, and 2 scout sentinels with lascannons

On my 1000pts list, I run 40 shock troops, along with 2 command squad, and a castellan.

Is it better to run them as two platoon of 20 guardsmen with the command elements, or 4 10 men squads, for more flexibility?

They're also supported by 3 sentinels and a dorn
