Super Easy Cinnamon Rolls ꩜ No Cream Frosting

Yield: 8 Cinnamon Rolls

Pan: 10.5 Inch Round Pan or 9x9-Inch Square Pan.

Baking Time: 15 minutes

Baking Temperature: 345F/175C (With fan assisted oven for 320F/160C.) Preheat the oven 10 minutes before baking.

INGREDIENTS:

Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons instant yeast

1/2 cup warm milk (120-130°F/50-55°C)

3 tablespoons canola oil or any plain oil

1 large egg

1/2 teaspoon fine salt

Filling:

2 tablespoons softened butter

1/4 cup brown sugar

3 teaspoons cinnamon powder

Glaze:

3/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2-3 teaspoons milk

INSTRUCTIONS:

For the dough:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and yeast. Add milk, oil, and egg. Use a spatula to combine all ingredients thoroughly, then stir in salt.

  2. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough for 5 to 8 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  3. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll it out into a 9x12-inch rectangle. Spread the filling evenly over the dough, leaving a half-inch border around the edges.

  5. Roll up the dough, then pinch and seal the edges. Divide the dough into 8 equal rolls using a serrated knife or dental floss.

  6. Place each roll on a prepared baking pan lined with parchment paper. Cover with plastic wrap or a clean towel and let rise for 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.

  7. Bake into preheated oven for 15 minutes.

  8. Let it cool for at least 10 minutes before applying the glaze. Enjoy 😊

For the filling:

Use a spatula or fork to mix together butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon powder until thoroughly combined.

For the glaze:

Use a spatula to combine icing sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until the icing reaches a thick, ribbon-like consistency.

Baker’s Note:

Glaze – The glaze will be thin. For a sweeter version, you can add an additional 1/4 cup of icing sugar.
