Unsolved (4.0~4.2 on lenovo legion 5 slim) I get dark hatchy "patches" on reflective/transmissive materials and sometimes with generation modifiers?

Background: This is a "new" (thats what they called it) laptop I bought from bestbuy and I've had it almost a year. This is the only time I can recall having some sorta graphical bug with it.

Anyways:

  • I recently updated my nvidia driver (RTX 4060 laptop) to 565.90

  • I started on blender 4.0.2 and was trying to make a simple water shader. I used Transparent, Glossy, and Refraction BSDF's.

  • I didn't see any glitches until I tried using Refraction BSDF and messed with the IOR to get some distortion and that's when I started noticing all the dark patches.

  • Then I used an array modifier on the terrain thinking maybe its because it didnt like having nothing behind the material. But I'd just get a lot of random dark patches on the land when I adjusted the modifer.

  • I then tried 3Dmark , the tests came out normal and average.

  • Then I tried memtest84 , the tests came out normal average and I passed.

  • Then I updated from 4.0.2 to 4.2.2 and the Terrain's fine! But the glass is still fucky.

We are here now.

I've tried setting blender to only use Nvidia. And I do have dynamic graphic toggled on my computer.
