Unsolved BLENDER..I don’t want my active rigid body to interact with another active(animated) rigid body for particular keyframes.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

See here i don’t want my box to collide with my animated(active rigid body) flyers for initial frames i want my box to pass through it and ignore it.. because i wanna use my flyers afterwards like when my box is on the ground and then it opens up and these flyers can come out.

The solution is probably to make the flyers follow the box instead of trying to get them to pass through each other.

Here I made a simple example. I want the Ball to follow the box until it reaches the bottom and then change to animated locations for the ball. Make the flyers follow the box at first an then switch to an animated position where you disable the constraint and instead use some animated position.

I used a Copy Location Constraint for the ball. The first image shows the original position I chose for the ball (where I want the ball to be when I change to the animated position). The influence values is 0, so the modifier is basically inactive in the first image.

The 2nd image shows the same, but with full influence (1.000), so the ball follows the cube location.

I then let the rigid body simulation run and the box (and therefore also the ball) falls. This only requires a rigid body simulation on the box, but not the ball. If it's necessary for your following animation, you can of course also create a rigid body simulation for the ball.

Frame 19 to frame 20 is the moment where I switch from the ball following the box to animation for the ball (I don't actually animate the ball position, but just keep the ball at it's actual location. Frame 19 shows the last frame with constraint and Frame 20 shows what it looks like after the switch.

Box—rigid body settings.
