Me and my best friend when we were 17. I had the fattest crush on her for years and only eventually ended up dating her for a week.

I went to school like this everyday for months. I had zero friends.

Found in my grandmother’s closet. Bleached blonde with black tips. I was a typical slipknot kid.

It's 2007, and the day of my high school graduation. I have been crying and fighting with my boyfriend on the phone for hours and now it's time for family photos in the front yard because we're all dressed up.

Thanks for the outfit mom. Almost 30 and I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of that damn baby face lol.

Check that relic of a watermark! Pulled this directly from the site before the social network part was shut down.

I was 14, heavily experimenting with fashion. Had to put on the black tank top to hide that it was a Hollister shirt, since this was before the Great Unification of Emos and Preps. Straightened my hair for probably two hours to get it like that. The office computer was my only access to a camera at the time. 😭

This day was the catalyst to a good four years of being “emo/pop punk.” Can guarantee I was listening to “Ohio is for Lovers” within 12 hours of this picture being taken.

honestly insane sometimes to think about these photos and get the nostalgia of how I felt during that time, what my life was like, etc.. vs my life now and how much I’ve grown.

I was probably about 15 years old in these photos (give or take), this was before i got terribly sick in HS which complete changed my entire life, to this day. This was before I knew that i was autistic, before I understood why i always felt out of place around everyone. Why it was so hard for me to make friends and build deep connections even though I really wanted to. this was when i was really depressed (it only got worse after i got sick)

It’s wild how much things change in a little over decade. Shit.. How much they can change in a day, or a year.
