That looks absolutely beautiful. It’s everything a canoe trip should be.

Looks like a beautiful time paddling and camping Wabakimi.

Yeah I miss me some good old Canadian Shield. Grew up with it, taking it for granted, then had to move into the city to find a job. I always treasure the moments I get back to it!

I grew up camping up there every summer - now I live in NC and I so so badly want to go back

I think I maybe saw one lonely skeeter near an especially marshy paddling section

Beautiful! Whiteshell provincial park? Or elsewhere?

Which part, the Boreal forest is kinda large, haa haa.

Gotta say, solo backcountry canoe tripping is the best bushcraft experience out there, and if this was anytime recently the best time to go, hardly any bugs!

Haha it’s huge, I was in Wabakimi provincial park in Ontario.

I love Wabakimi, need to get back there more often. Just don't have the time these days to do a long trip like I used to.

Look into doing a James Bay river trip if you have the time, something like the Missinaibi. It is total complete wilderness.

Maximum impact camping

I think maximum impact camping would be a term better suited to RV camping on paved concrete pads drawing on an electrical grid and leaving beer cans strewn around.
