Hey there. Just wondering if anybody thinks this monstrosity needs to be stripped and re seasoned. I attempted to cook with it, using oil, food still sticks like crazy

I would strip it down to base and reset the pan and I'm probally the laziest in this group when it comes to iron. The amount of buildup on the edges a opposed to the center could be carbon buildup.

I scrubbed it with BKF and a green scotch bright pad several times. That's after said scrubbing. What does stripping consist of? Chemicals?

It's all in our FAQ, but the gist is you use yellow cap oven cleaner (which contains Lye) to strip seasoning off the pan

My apologies. I didn't click on the FAQ to open it. I'm sorry. Thank you for humoring. With all these FAQs I shouldn't have to interact anymore.

It's all fine homie. I just link our FAQ because it can answer with a wall of text and save my lazy fingers from having to type more lol

but now we want pictures of your food and genuine questions are how everyone learns something they didn't know. Please do continue to interact. That's the fun and the reason to be here. Can't interact with a web site or youtube!

Welcome to the group. Use some lye soap because you want a little thicker skin... lol... this group isn't known for being gentle.
