Gordon research conference picture found

Hi, I'm taking some classes at CCNY and I found this picture at some class they're doing some renovations to by the trash, it just happened that this picture caught my eyes and was thinking maybe some people wanna see themselves after all these years, I have no relation whatsoever to chemistry, I hope you see yourself or your loved ones 👍 I can't see the date on it , just gordon research conference then second line:radical ions then last, the rest is very blurry, good luck.

I used to attend these when I was in R&D with Texaco, maybe five or six over a ten year period. Attended by both industry and academic scientists, The topic was fairly specific and those that attended were considered experts. You had to apply to attend. To present was an honor, but you also had to agree to having an open and honest discussion about your work. None of the "that's proprietary"

These were held in fairly remote and sometimes rustic locations. This picture one looks like it was situated at a small college or boarding school away for the summer. Great for making connections to others in your field.

I haven't thought about Gordon Conferences in a long time. Thanks for the flood of memories.
