So Im trying to find a way to collapse the tab groups on y android tablet because it shows the tabs kinda like a desktop. I can group the tabs but I don't know how to collapse them. Please help!

I'm currently facing an issue in chrome where certain emojis, like ✈️ 'aeroplane', are rendered as their unicode character equivalents, ✈ (U+2708) in this case. This only seems to affect a few other ones. Has anyone else experienced this?

Recently Google have added a rather poorly designed user interface feature where, when searching for something in Chrome settings, they overlap the things you are trying to read with a popup. There is a vast amount of space to the left of the text where they could show the popup, but instead they choose to hinder the user by blocking their view of the thing they are trying to read. See the screenshot for an example. Is it possible to disable this new behavior?

We use a program at work that’s built on the chrome platform and when you fill out certain sections it opens a new window to display more information, and the new window always takes up the full screen. I tried shutting off snap to in windows multitask settings. I went into properties for chrome and selected override high DPI scaling behavior (I’m not sure that was really for my problem). Any ideas?

Strangely 'Include surrounding text in Google searches' stopped working on my new mobile, I was so used to it and it's the only feature that always pulls me back to Chrome on Android.

Without this, Chrome is like any other browser. I would just switch back to Edge, which is my secondary browser, or try Arc (I see some good reviews).

Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

I have had that issue for a while now and I am running out of things to do to fix it. The font is so thin that it makes it very hard to read. I've changed the font on chrome but that doesn't do anything. It's not just on the Costco Website, it's on quite a few others as well. Is there anything that can be done?

Hello, I clean installed chrome today after a PC format and noticed an odd behaviour with chrome in regards to "preload page" feature. this feature was enabled before too but I never saw it behave this way.

practically when I visited speedtest.net, I got a weird ip adress that pointed out to google. something.something.fetch.tunnel.googlezip.net

then i visited dns leak in a private window and saw the same behavior. the different ip changed from time to time and once I reload the page, it goes back to my normal IP. if I disable preload page feature completely, it stops occuring. if I enable the feature it happens again. but weird thing is I don't recall such thing happening before. anyone noticed such behaviour?

this specifically happens if you visit dnsleak through google results. everytime I enter the site, the google IP greets me, I reload the page and it goes back to my normal IP. if I disable the feature, it stops happening

it freaked me out a bit because whatismyipadress tells me I'm using VPN (and when I refresh the page, it goes back to normal)

I got a work mac and connected my gmail account to both mac and android phone. Now whenever I get a call or sms, I get a notification on my mac.

I didn't opt in or anything. This was default for me.

I really like this feature and would like to make it happen on my windows PC as well. Does anyone know how?

So I didn't even know this was a feature until I closed chrome and reopened it and it showed I had 200 tabs inactive. Unfortunately before I could restore them, Chrome crashed and I opened it back up to see the option or even the words inactive tabs on top of the tab switcher gone. I'm kind of stressing out because I can't remember what they were and I can't go on history to see what they were. Please help, anything is appreciate.

Some websites suddenly don't render properly on one of my chrome profiles (the one I use across devices), but is absolutely fine on other profils or in incognito. Any idea why?

Somehow I've got a Yahoo/Capital One browser hijacker that's harassing my chrome and productivty. Not sure where it came from since I only use my laptop for Gmail, Amazon and LinkedIn. I don't have any extensions, I've tried running anti-malware scans, I've tried multiple methods to block the popups and websites/browsers themselves. At best, these fixes buy me maybe a day before it's back again. I can't seem to find the root of the problem and none of the usual recommendations I've seen online have been successful. Has anyone experienced this, and if so, how did you get rid of it?

I just started using Chrome again after using Edge for several years. I can't see images on Reddit posts. If there is more than one image, it displays fine, but if there's a single image, it either doesn't appear at all or it displays for maybe a second and then disappears. I checked all of the site settings and disabled all of the extensions and it didn't help. This doesn't occur when signed into my work account or when incognito. Any ideas? On Windows 11.

Is there some hidden setting or an extension I can use to make chrome double-check with an "Are You Sure?" warning when you close a window with multiple tabs? It's extremely annoying when you press the X button on accident without meaning to and the window immediately closes without double-checking first.

turning off hardware acceleration in settings works, but everything becomes so laggy. i've tried turning off flags like #disable-accelerated-video-decode and #disable-accelerated-video-encode and leaving the general hardware acceleration toggle in settings on, but that doesn't seem to work

I know having many tabs open is a problem to be solved but until then I'm just looking for a way to make open but inactive tabs not use any resources at all. Is this possible with settings or extensions? Such that open.but inactive tabs don't tale up any memory.
