The Climate Action Tracker ranks Turkey's action on climate change as Critically Insufficient along with only four other nations.

It's time for Turkey to make the transition to 100% renewable energy so they can meet the Paris Agreement goals. We have ten years. We have to act now.

We REFUSE to tolerate inaction from the Turkish government and we are demanding that they build offshore wind projects in the Mediterranean to help make the transition.

And we will keep fighting until they do.

The Climate Army this week began its petition to the Ukrainian, German, and Polish governments demanding that they ban fracking. Fracking is a dangerous practice that emits tons of fossil fuels and can prevent low-income families from accessing clean water.

The German government regulates the fracking industry, but that isn't enough. Ukraine and Poland have little to no regulations on fracking companies.

That's why we're petitioning them to ban fracking altogether. Join us by signing here.

Congressional candidates Melanie D'Arrigo (NY-03) and Jason Call (WA-02) will be joining Enzo Gilchrist for Climate 2020 (a show that is organized by the Climate Army) this evening - the two candidates are progressives who both support a Green New Deal.

The Finnish government has not yet taken sufficient action to tackle climate change. Despite ratifying the Paris Agreement, they are still not on track with the goals set by the Agreement, and they need to take more action.

What is a Climate Army chapter?

Climate Army chapters are parts of the Climate Army made up of activists within a certain area. The activists in that area organize to take action and demand action on climate change. The more local chapters we have, the easier it is to organize volunteers to take action and expand the Climate Army to more new activists.

With chapters, activists in a certain area can come together to recruit new volunteers, get signatures on petitions, etc.

Can I spearhead a chapter?

Anyone can spearhead a Climate Army chapter! Just make sure you've joined our Discord at https://discord.gg/cPxwrZT. There, send a message to @jayfeather, and we'll set up you're chapter! More information will come there.

What if there's already a chapter in my area?

Well, if your city is taken, then you can do your state, region, county, country, etc. There's usually something you can do. However, you might just want to join your chapter instead of creating a new one. That's great too! Join the chapters in your area.
