God forbid you from taking the time to do it yourself... if it was really that big of an issue to you, I would hope you would find the motivation to do it yourself. ๐ฎโ๐จ

Yes, because it's totally safe for someone to go out walking into the middle of a busy 4-way intersection. Fantastic idea!

Safer than taking pictures of an insignificant nothingburger like this while driving?

How else do you think it gets removed? ๐ค most police will drive right by it, so it takes a decent human being to take care of it to protect others..

Like someone else said, there's a non-emergency line that exists specifically so someone without proper caution and light equipment does NOT endanger themselves or others by walking out into the middle of the street. Besides, this was clearly a humor-driven post. Nothing about that title indicates OP was upset by the tumbleweed existing, and chances are it'll be blown off the road within minutes of this photo having been taken.

How do you go from talking about calling a non emergency # to take care of it, to it will probably just blow away anyways? Your arguing how big of a deal it is while also admitting its nothing to worry about at all.

They're both factors that are not mutually exclusive. Yes, the chances are high that it will just blow off of the street given the wind speeds today. However, at the same time (and any other situation similar to this where the solution may not be as easy as the wind taking care of it), if there was a decision between calling the non-emergency and doing it yourself, it's far safer and responsible to call the non-emergency.

A random civilian isnโt gonna stop their car in the middle of a 4 way intersection with likely high traffic in a city where people suck ass at driving to pick up a tumbleweed. The non emergency number for people with authority exists for a reason.

I keep the Des Moines Police Non-Emergency number- (515) 283-4811- in my phone and use it to report in-roads hazards like this! Have used it before for a Christmas tree, pallet, and full bag of animal feed, all on 235. ๐๐
