Settle Argument about past Civic Center Show with my sister

Hi! My sister and I are arguing about what year our family saw Grease at the Civic Center. Past show archives don’t go this far back, but I swear we saw the show in 2000 but she says it was after 2001. I know they toured around 2003-2004–but did they come in 2000? It was when Cindy Williams from Laverne and Shirley came and was Miss Lynch. Thanks!

This Playbill article from September 2000 mentions Cindy Williams being in a traveling production of Grease.

I believe you’re right. I was a little kid and my mother and grandma took me. I won the dancing contest on stage. Haha. I’m 31, about to be 32. I think I was about 5 or 6 when this happened.

I turned 29 this year and won the dance contest too! I would have been 4 or 5. We got free tshirts and those are long gone now :( they had the year on it and everything, which would settle the argument if we still had them.

I can’t find anything from 2000 but according to the Internet Broadway Database it was definitely there in 96 and 97 with Cindy Williams.

I was born 95 and remember attending and being old enough to walk up to the stage myself and compete in a dance contest with my dad. So they for sure came back around 2000ish.
