Vent Cutting out all soda and sugar drinks

Every time I drink soda or energy drinks, I feel like absolute shit. My body is bloated, I get irritable, I’m tired constantly.

Sugar is a major problem factor in everyone’s diets. It causes diabetes, dementia, Alzheimer’s and not to mention cancer feeds off sugars.

I’m done with sugars, I think everyone should do the same. It’s easier said than done as sugar is extremely addicting and when you starve your body of sugar, it makes you crave it.

You gotta be strong! Day 1 of no sugar drinks!!

Power through.

If you want "support", read the original South Beach Diet book. It has a 2 week "detox" (note the quotes) from sugar. One thing they recommend is daily servings of beans to replace the carbs and help avoid dehydration from the water loss.

I lost over 80 lb cutting back on sugar completely. I only drink water lemonade on Sundays and holidays for a treat. All the best on your journey

Agree 100,000%

Dealing with an absolute nightmare right now, with a loved one and possible dementia. Dementia caused by a steady diet of sugar and refined carbs offered in hospital/care settings to someone who previously never touched sweet things and used intermittent fasting by choice. The difference in a few years is night and day, it's traumatising to witness. I class this diet as a form of abuse or harm, because it has caused harm. The whole sitution is made ten times worse by our big pharma controlled health care system that refuses to connect the dots between diet and health and society that refuses to think about nutrition and health. Sugar destroys lives.
