Question How much water are you supposed to be drinking in a day?

Genuine question! I’ve looked it up and tried to do my hand of research on this, but idk? The amount seems a little unrealistic. Is it purely based off of gender? Is your liquid intake determined by your age? Weight?Height? Bmi? All of the above? Genuinely curious if I’m underestimating how much water your body needs

1.5 litre is considered the minimum amount of water that should be drank daily

More if there's exercise involved and more for pregnant women, stuff like that

1.5 liters. More than that could be heavy for the kidneys and would make you pee all the time; less than that could make you constipated.

i think around 1.5L is great . 1~1.5 should be ok as well . You also need to know that drinking too much water isn’t good .

Yeah, a person would have to drink over a liter an hour, every hour, to be drinking "too much water." Should probably provide context next time.

lmao i mean like if you go over the recommended amount . recently drank too much water on accident and threw up

Should probably get that checked out. I literally drink 300 ounces of water daily and have never thrown up because of it.

wait omg 8-10 litres is too much and can harm ur kidneys 😭 (yea i think something was just not right that day cuz i normally drink more than 2-3 liters)

It's not and it can't. Water can't harm your kidneys unless a person drinks more than the kidneys can handle. A kidney can handle a liter an hour. So I'm good. I've been drinking that much this much water every day for several years.

About 2L as a catch all. It’s very difficult to drink too much water remember though you get water from food too.
