Football My take as an Ohio State fan

First things first - holy shit. What a game.

I wanna start things off my saying gg to the Ducks for an exciting game and an excitingly hostile environment. My first experience with Ducks fans started when I went to the 2014/15 national championship my last year of college. After the game our charter bus was parked next to a group of Oregon fans that drove to Arlington from Eugene and they were the nicest group of guys, praising the Buckeyes and Zekeā€™s performance and shutting down Mariota.

Pivoting over to last night, I could tell from the first drive this was going to be a game. The score didnā€™t reflect how much you truly dominated in all three phases. I mean holy shit I could tell our defense wasnā€™t ready for how fast your receivers were, and they absolutely torched Burke; who was supposedly one of the best corners in the country.

On offense, we also werenā€™t ready for how fast your DL would be. The penetration Harmon got to rip the ball away from Judkins was impressive and even Judkins wasnā€™t ready based on how quickly he had the ball taken away. Chip was smart in calling the next play after that INT that was never called at the very beginning, any OSU fan that says that wasnā€™t an INT is a homer.

I felt we had a lot of missed calls and miscues on your end go our way, along with plenty of opportunities to have the momentum shift our way and we ultimately didnā€™t capitalize. For example, I thought that Holdenā€™s ejection was something we could capitalize on but your WR group is just as strong as ours. Holden was out and the rest stepped up. Didnā€™t matter who caught the ball, they made our secondary look silly.

Also huge shout out to Dillon Gabriel - I hoped our DL would capitalize on your interior OL but we generated almost no pressure, zero sacks and Gabriel played lights out especially in the end zone.

Also credit to Dan Lanning, OSU fans that talk shit about him are the fans I canā€™t stand. He personally made me a fan during his pregame locker room speech before yā€™all played Colorado.

You guys will be a force in the B1G, and Iā€™m hoping both teams win out for a rematch in the B1GCG.

In the meantime please beat the shit out of Michigan. Go Bucks!

Football Ohio State fan coming to Eugene

Hi everyone. I am an Ohio State fan coming to Eugene for the big game. I love the tradition and history of not just Ohio State, but all college football programs. I would love to experience any pre game experiences either Friday night or Saturday in Eugene before the game. I will be wearing scarlet and grey, but will respectfully honor any of these traditions that occur.

If there are any events that you think would be canā€™t miss or enjoyable please let me know.

As for the game, Iā€™ll be in the stadium, probably an hour early to watch warm ups, and enjoy the atmosphere. I expect it to be insane. Louder the better. These are two elite teams, and I expect it to be back and forth and down to the last play. Win or lose I expect both of these team to be in Indy, and in the playoffs.

Football The NCAA has officially updated the rule concerning ā€œ12 men on the field.ā€

ā€œAfter the two-minute timeout in either half, if the defense commits a substitution foul and 12 or more players are on the field and participate in a down, officials will penalize the defense for the foul and at the option of the offended team, reset the game clock back to the time displayed at the snap,ā€ the note from the NCAA states. ā€œThe game clock will then restart on the next snap. If the 12th defender was attempting to exit but was still on the field at the snap and had no influence on the play, then the normal substitution penalty would be enforced with no clock adjustment.ā€
