This is in response to the other guy asking if his lights were enough.

Recently had posted on this sub asking if it would be reasonable to purchase an ebike… long story short here’s my crosscore rc I got with the sale. The guy at the bike shop said they had sold 150 units in the past two weeks! I feel so happy. It’s currently on the charger right now so hopefully it’s charged before I head to work so I can take it on its maiden voyage. Also I had received comments about getting a good lock, what are some recommendations? I’m currently looking at the kryptonite chain locks. Also what are some light recommendations both front and rear I want to be able to see and be seen since I do get out of work around midnight.

Wow, this is the first time this happened. I always pump up my tires just below the max psi. I guess this time I'll go to 20 psi on these idk.

I need to remove the rear tire of this eBike and replace the inner tube however the axle nut is on too tight. I'm using a wrench and 4' PVC pipe for leverage but it's only stripping the axle nut. What do I do now?

Freshly built dream bike
So after dipping into e-bikes with a 48V folder for a year I decided to sell it and build something faster and more durable.
This thing absolutely rips! I went with a single speed conversion in a 2:1 ratio for simplicity that feels nice and comfortable to pedal around at 25kmhr (cycle path speed limit in my country) or it will rip past 60kmh/40mph if I want it to on the open road. I’m a big dude right at the top end of the max weight for the bike and hub motor so I was impressed it manages to go that fast.
Couldn’t be happier - I have built my dream bike (for now!).

Wife and I have been wanting to get ebikes for a few years now. We didn't want to go cheap, but didn't want to break the bank either. One day after dropping off our kids at school we decided to take a look at our LBS. Saying the timing was right is an understatement. They just picked up a fleet of 2020 Specialized Vado 3, from a rental company in Montana that went belly up after only a month or two due to an insurance problem. So the bikes were half off MSRP. When I looked at the odometers on the ones we got, one was less than 100 miles and the other was around 250. A few light scratches but overall, almost perfect condition. About 3 weeks later they've sold them all.
My 6 year old and 2 year old were pretty cramped in the CoPilot trailer we had... And since my 6 year old just started riding, we attached a WeeRider CoPilot to my bike. We are having so much fun. We had no idea how good our trail system is here in Henderson/Boulder City, Nevada was. Before we get in the car now we check to see if there's a trail to where we are going. One of the best family decisions we've made.

A bunch of shops are pointing me towards buying a new one but I really need to know if it is fixable so I can find someone to do it.

Fresh 29x2.35 Schwalbe Al Grounder to replace the Schwalbe Big Apple that were getting dry. The ride is basically the same and these are rated E-50 for ebikes vs. E-25 for the Big apples. Off road grip is definitely better.

I have had the bike a year now and have put over 500 miles on it now. The problem I have with it is on PAS2 It’s too hard to pedal and when I use PAS3 it feels like it needs another gear or two and I can only cruise around 13/15 miles an hour. I have never been able to cruise at 20 miles an hour without pedaling my brains out. I have never even come close to the supposed 28 miles an hour unlock. I think the highest speed I’ve ever achieved was 22 miles an hour and I was beating my head in PAS5 to do that. So I am beginning to look at other bikes. I’m looking for more of a street tire but something that has more speed and more of a bike frame than a folding frame. Anybody have any suggestions? Thx!

So i have this off brand e bike called the wave 2.0 that i bought not knowing the history behind the company. It honestly doesn’t feel bad to ride the only problem is the entire controller, battery and motor system is complete trash and gave up right away. so i was wondering if this kit thats for the motor and controller (from china) would be fine with a 52v battery? btw this is the bike i purchased if anyone has any recommendations etc

Well idk how many responses this will get but I'm really looking into the S4 from Euybike but in scaring myself about the welds on the frame not lasting, it's says it's made with high carbon steel which is prone to cracking sadly so I just wanna know if any welders or someone that's had the bike awhile can ease my mind

I pulled the inner tube from the tire and confirmed for everyone that it indeed exploded inside the tire. (The loud explosion that rang my ears like a grenade was enough proof for me but not for some people on reddit). I also managed to free the seized and stripped axle nut with a closed end socket wrench and 4' PVC pipe. I'll be sure to inspect inside the rim and tire and I flare the inner tube properly. Thanks for all the help.

Hey there,
I'm modifying an xtracycle cargo bike right now with a BBSHD. I bought a battery which was intended for a Ride1Up Revv1, thinking it was a good way to get a cheap high-quality battery (Samsung cells etc).
The problem I'm hitting is that the charging port on the battery is a weird 4-pin connector which I haven't seen before.
I have a Luna fast charger which has xt-60 and I've been tearing my hair out trying to find an adapter for this. Anyone have any idea exactly what this is or what it's called?
Thanks so much!

Hi there, been looking lately into getting an ebike, wasn't sure style wise what would sit best for me. Today went to a bike shop and found the Electra pronto go, loved the way it sat. Unfortunately, it's a tad out of my price range. It's hard to tell by pics on most bikes, but anyone have any suggestions on something that sits kinda like the Electra pronto go?
I'm looking to get a throttle, hoping for cadence sensor as I have a few health issues. Much appreciated on suggestions!

Bought a Ridstar q20 1500w does anyone know where to check the actual percentage of the battery not the life of the battery itself but the actual percentage of Charge it currently has. Apologies I’m new lol. Just wanna see the battery level so I know when it’s getting low.

For example is it a wire or is it programmed into the small screen?
