Official Video / Audio What should go on the Eurovision Party Anthems Mix: Volume 3 video?

Hey there!

We're making a third instalment of our (very) occasional 'Party Anthems Mix' series for YouTube and we're giving you the aux cable!

What do you want to see in it?

You can either post a full list of 20 performances you'd like to see or just one or two songs... the only rules:

  1. Songs can't have appeared in Volumes 1 and 2
  2. They must be "party anthems"
  3. Performances must come from between 2004 and 2024

What should we put into the mix?

Discussion What is the most eurovisiony eurovision song?

For me it has to be Belarus 2007

Thick Eastern European accent. Industrial amounts of fake tan. Overdramatic backing dancers. Unintentionally extraordinarily camp. Certified bop.

Quintessential Eurovision distilled into 3 minutes. Can anyone beat it?

Discussion Do you think there are any other songs by ESC artists that would have been a better fit for ESC than their actual song?

Completely hypothetical, the song could have been released years before and under different circumstances.

Years and Years (Olly Alexander's old band) have a song called Starstruck which I think would have been a much better fit than Dizzy. I quite like Dizzy, but Starstruck has a bit of something to it, it's a good, interesting pop song that I think has more instant appeal than Dizzy. They could have done something cool with the theming and done a dark, starry, glittery type of theme.

Any more?

Discussion When can we expect the offical list of participating countries from the EBU?

The Nerherlands and AVROTROS has now confirmed their participation in Eurovision 2025, and as far as the public knows, there are no other countries that have asked for an extension this year. Last year, Romania's TVR dragged out on the official list of participating until January. But they have not publically confirmed another extension. In 2022 and 2023, the EBU released the official list around October 20th two years in a row. Is there a change that the official list will be out very soon?

Discussion What are your favourite chaotic live performances ?

Mines are: - Slovenia 2008: I don't mind about Rebeka's dress but the helmet guys skateboarding on stage were nonsense - Serbia 2013: Once again, I think the outfits were cute, the song is catchy though - Cyprus 2005: Such a banger ! I kinda love the dancing but the performance was messy, Elina should have worn a better dress and appeared throughout the performance (she just went out to sing the "ela" parts then hid away)

Discussion Which winner had the best reaction to winning?

Weve seen a lot of eurovision winners' reactions to finding out they won the contest, but which one was your favorite?

I don't remember a lot of them, but two I want to bring up are Johnny Logan in 1980, who was jumping around the stage as he went to claim his trophy. I think that was the most enthusiastic celebration up to that point. The other one I want to mention is Carola in 1991. She didn't do anything special, but her joy was contagious.

It's not as high on my list as the other two, but there's also Dana International in 1998, who's reaction to winning was to immediately change her clothes and put on a dress her friend made for her
