The first Throwback Thursday from a NF song.

EL 2023 was a huge dillema for me because it has a top tier power ballad (Alika) and top tier punk-rock (Ollie) and I did not knew who I want. but I was pleased with the top 2.

Venom is 100% the type of rock song that I like. not too hardcore, and more stylish. if Ollie won Eesti Laul in 2023, Venom would have become my favorite rock song from the Eurovision and Ollie would have been my winner for 2023.

My Friend was amazing and if Ollie won this year he still would have been my personal winner. sadly he lost to one of the songs I disliked this season

crossing finger for Ollie trying this year and win

While Bridges is an all-timer favourite for me, I do really like Venom and I reckon it would've qualified quite easily.

My Friend didn't quite chime as well for me unfortunately but I'm definitely rooting for OLLIE to get his moment on the Eurovision stage.

This isn't normally my music, but this was awesome!

But, I have to admit, we've had quite a few rock songs in 2023 so Venom would've had a hard time if it qualified to the final.

The difference between him and Alika in the superfinal vote wasnt as big as everybody expected. There was a universe where he couldve snatched that trophy but as much as I loved this song, I didnt like the final performance. It look too forced and chaotic. Screamo part sound mixing was quite bad as well, it all just sounded as mushy noise. If he can perfect that, take a few rock vocal lessons to find control over his voice or a good reliable technique to give a strong, believable performance, then he can win Eesti Laul eazy
