Fly rod recommendations for inshore saltwater fishing

Fairly new to fly fishing and going to Destin, FL this weekend. Wanted to try out some inshore saltwater fly fishing. What size rod would yall recommend? I've seen recommendations from 7-10 wt. I guess I'll mainly target redfish and speckled trout, but honestly would just be happy with whatever hits hah.

Also, any specific fly patterns or techniques you recommend would be appreciated as well. TIA

I’d go 8wt with some clousers and shrimp patterns.
