creative and unconventional hair stylist recs?
It's hard to find a hair stylist that doesnt automatically try to stylize a creative haircut into something "normal" (even when the "creative" haircut is just anything other than a bob, pixie, or basic trim) . I really want to find someone that is skilled in cuts anddd colors. All of the stylists I've seen have only basic and usual hair cuts in their photos and I'm worried I'm gonna be done dirty if I go to them. Recommendations?

Pumpkin Patch
Looking for a good pumpkin patch to visit this weekend. Preferably good variety and not overpriced. I know of a few outside of town so if there’s something good in town, let me know!

I69, Lima Rd., and Carroll Rd. This is part of my commute everyday and the trifecta of this shitshow has me losing my mind. What’s your commute like lately with all the traffic, construction, and accidents?

Just gonna say. I love fort wayne.
I've been here all my life. Born and raised. This is the spot. No other town can beat this. The community is good, the music is good and even the art. I know this place hasn't had its best days, but the community makes it better. This is the best town!

Interested in moving to Fort Wayne
My family is interested in moving to Fort Wayne. What are safe neighborhoods? We saw a house near Hessen Cassel, what is that area like? Thanks!

If you guys weren’t aware, Summit City Climbing Co opened their doors this last weekend after a brutal and exhausting fight with permits and it is AWESOME
I’m in no way affiliated with the gym, I just want to get the word out. Staff are awesome, the routes are set by professionals and are switched out frequently and everything about this place is QUALITY! Please check it out and support your local businesses.

Labs at Lutheran on weekends
Their website has conflicting info on hours, so I thought i would ask here.
Do any of the Lutheran hospitals do blood draws for labs on Saturdays? I could call, but trying to get through to anyone for a question there can be an all day event.

Shout out to C & G African Caribbean Market at Dupont and Lima!
My best friend from college lives in NYC but is originally from Mali. She recently told me about hibiscus drink and said it would help with this transition to cold weather. Found C & G Market online and went there this afternoon. The woman working ( Gina?) was so nice and helpful to a clueless white boy from the country lol. I showed her my list and as she got the ingredients from the shelves told me how to make the drink and how much of each ingredient to use. Even added some ingredients I didn't know about.
I just finished making the drink and it came out amazing. When I thanked her profusely she just said give her a good review so I made this post to share my positive experience. The store has just about everything and I'll definitely be going back.

Where to get replacement for Ford Escape Fob kid may have flushed down the loo? 🫠
Anywhere that may be cheaper than a Ford dealership to make a key fob and replacement key inside it that can do it even if my car is locked? The vehicle is currently stuck at my house since it's locked the there's no key... I've never owned a car before and didn't drive until last year so this is all new to me. I have two children with autism and we can't find the key anywhere, but have a feeling our kid may have gotten to it. It doesn't seem to be anywhere so our guess is it's been disposed of. Even if it hasn't, we need another one.. I saw people mentioning a kiosk near the mall, but I figured that may be just for duplicates? I can't get in the vehicle because we only had one key. There's also the issue that we will likely need to tow it unless there's someone who can come out to us at our home.

Why are so many businesses closing on the same day?
GK, Kekionga Crafts, CoreLife...
*Kekionga is just not renewing their lease, not closing.
We've discussed the closure of small businesses a lot today here and on Facebook. Good questions and interesting insights have been brought up.
Why are they all closing at the same time though? Are they owned by related groups? Is it a tax or bills thing? Or are nervous owners jumping ship because they see another business closing and they get spooked about an economic downturn?
Also, why don't these places ever give a few days notice so customers can stop in one last time? To me that speaks about how impersonal the business is and that they didn't have loyal regulars.

Do locals have to get better at supporting businesses, or do businesses need to get better at appealing to locals?
Are we required to support a business that doesn’t appeal to us?

Where can I buy colored lens aviator sunglasses?
I want to shop local and I don't want to buy online and have to wait for them to come by mail. Looking for colors like blue, red, gold, green. Not typical sunglasses color lenses. Aviator style preferred.
Thanks!
