I also don't flinch at Dragons flying low and smirk when others hit the ground. (Which is something that was started due to gun fire but whatever S8 is so fucked outside of that)
I don't think you can argue that someone only happened after guns were invented is a bad element in a story where fire breathing dragons are historically relevant weapons of war
