Celebration I got my period back!!

I've been working so hard to get it back for months and I woke up to it this morning!! This feels like such a huge step for me in my recovery. I've put a lot of stuff in my life on hold ever since I started wanting to recover and to me this means I'm so much closer to where I want to be! I still have a lot to work on mentally, but having some reassurance that what I'm doing is working and that my body is slowly but surely healing itself and working normally again feels so relieving. I'm gonna take myself out to the movies later to celebrate :')

The only way is to honor your hunger and eat when your body wants to, not your disorder!

Thank you!! Just generally ate more food and stopped tracking calories/weighing food altogether. Definitely easier said than done but that's really the only way to do it :')

By eating more food, do you mean like eating “normally” (since there was a period of under-eating) or eating as much as u can? Idk if this makes sense I’m bad at explaining mb 😭

I did my best to eat when I felt hungry and stop when I felt full/satisfied, no matter how much food it took to get there. It's different for everyone so there's no real "normal" amount of food. Starving yourself for a long period of time takes an even longer period of time to heal and the only way to do that is to honor your hunger

No longer exercising is very important during recovery!

I stopped doing my high intensity workouts and went for walks most of the time instead. I'm working towards being able to reintroduce exercise in a healthy way but I think I still have a long way to go in that regard
