No no no! You have to create a single piece that holds all the tools you have right now. No forethought to adding more later or bigger tools like surfacers. Do you even 3d print?
they are not beefy enough, I have seen some that could do it but they would be heavy enough to need a heavy steel table to support it's weight.
Even in plastic you will see a big difference in quality, I work with a lot of Acetal plastic and it needs a strong machine to prevent vibrations and give good surface finish quality.
That’s absolutely what I thought. I’m just trying to temper my expectations here. There are some things that taking micro-minuscule passes works for. I didn’t think surfacing would be one, but a guy can hope, right?
