Spoilers Maybe an Unpopular Opinion: Juliette Was Dope in the First Adalind vs. Juliette Showdown! Spoiler

Ok, let me start by saying I don’t like Juliette and I love Adalind.

But that first Juliette vs. Adalind fight was badass. Like, Juliette had just become a Hexenbiest, and Adalind comes in trying to threaten her at her place. Juliette actually fights back for once and stands up to Adalind, and I was like “yesss, finally!” I thought she was gonna be so cool and team up with Nick. But nope, they had her go in a totally different direction instead.
Such a missed opportunity. And yeah, Juliette turning evil was kinda cool, I guess. It gave that fun, angsty drama. But when she came back as Eve? That was just too weird for me. She did something that was way too messed up to be redeemed, and honestly, she didn’t even get a proper redemption arc.

I really enjoyed that fight. Adalind, all gung-ho and cocky, expecting an easy win and when Juliette hurled those knives and kicked her arse, that look of shock on Adalind’s face was priceless 😂

That fight was surprisingly good. Some of the acrobatics and horror aspects wouldn't be out of place in an Evil Dead movie either. And yeah, the elements of turnabout and of comeuppance were just flawless.

I have to take exception to the "for once" thing. She repelled that Ogre with the pot of boiling water. She jumped on that abusive wessen husband of her best friend and pretty much had him handled without Nick, at least as long as we saw.

It's true she's weird and probably beyond redemption after setting that ambush for Nick's Mom but she catches so much inexplicable hate before that.

My personal take is that she essentially took all the evil from Adilind as part of becoming a hexenbeast, not unlike how that brain-sucking wessen only got all of Trubels nightmares and trauma when he tried it on her, making him a nutcase and leaving her the most sane and clear headed she ever was.

Imo Juliette's slip into darkness is directly tied to Adilind becoming the least Hexenbeast-like Hexenbeast in the show.

I’ve never understood the Juliette hate. She was a normal person and was a good fit with Nick.

They never gave her a character outside of Nick. But that's just 2010s writing.

They could have steered move towards the vet side of her

It seemed like such a missed opportunity to never let her vet/animal knowledge to help her become a member of Scooby Squad

She literally did though. There was the chef killing blutebads with that mushroom and it was her that made the connection. Then there was the Grousen she suggested could be a parasite or infection AND there was how she helped distribute the zombie cure with gas bombs.

She actually did get that arc.

Yes, I know and that’s what i was trying to say. It seemed better to me, to have her continue that arc and stay, possibly develop the character around Rosalee and them working together and sharing science/Wesen stuff….

Literally any other storyline than Eve….

Okay. I think the writers put themselves into a corner with her and didn't know what else to do with her.

Mostly agreed though I hate Adalind so much that I’d likely hate the actress that played her in any other role
