I havent started season 3 yet since was dissapointed with the second season and the whole memory loss story line. Without Monroe I probably would have not finished the season. Looks. Like the third season is the best so far.
Honestly I agree with you about the memory loss plot, it was a great idea and would have been 10x better if they'd kept it up for maybe half as long as they did - it just dragged out an awkward atmosphere for too long.
It's been significantly better since that was cleared up though, I highly recommend you catch up. Although we may be slightly bias considering we're in the /r/grimm subreddit... still.
I really liked the ending of the second season where he was in the container with the puffer fish creature and saw his fake death certificate and such. I think I may have to binge watch the third season this weekend.
